Amy J. Schmitz is the John Deaver Drinko–Baker & Hostetler Chair in Law at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a nationally recognized expert in dispute resolution, consumer law, and the intersection of law and technology. Her scholarship focuses on designing fair, transparent, and effective dispute systems, particularly in digital and consumer contexts. Professor Schmitz is a prolific author and frequent speaker who also directs the JusticeTech Program at Ohio State, which includes a practicum course for law and computer science students to work in teams to design and build technologies to help improve access to justice through thoughtful system design and ethical use of technology.
