An AI-Enabled Tax Competition for Law Students

This webinar will present a new, AI-enabled law student tax competition, currently scheduled for March 2027. The proposed event will solicit input from attendees to help insure that the competition is fair; has appropriate learning outcomes; and reflects appropriate ethical and professional standards for the use of AI.

Diane Kemker, Clinical Assistant Professor of Law, Loyola University Chicago School of Law

Diane Kemker, Clinical Assistant Professor of Law, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, is the organizer of this project. She is also the coach of the immediate past national champion team in the ABA Law Student Tax Challenge LLM division, in both Best Written Submission and Best Oral Presentation, and has coached other moot court competition teams. She has several years of experience in both remote and hybrid law teaching in tax and non-tax curricula.


Jordan Jefferson, Director Lynne L. Pantalena Law Library and Associate Professor of Law, Quinnipiac University School of Law

Jordan Jefferson is an Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Law Library at Quinnipiac Law School, where she teaches legal research and all courses related to the use of generative AI. She has more than a decade of experience in the AI/legal research setting, including the ethical and social justice dimensions of AI.


Julie Manasfi, Executive Director, Graduate Tax Programs, Associate Clinical Professor of Law, LMU Loyola Law School, Los Angeles

Julie Manasfi is the director of Graduate Tax Programs at Loyola Law School (Los Angeles). She is a leading educator in the area of tax and remote learning and has created numerous asynchronous and hybrid courses for the LLS JD and LLM programs over the past several years.
