Yale Law School clinic files lawsuit on behalf of individuals quarantined in Connecticut during Ebola outbreak

WTIC (FOX CONNECTICUT) – Yale Law School students filed the federal lawsuit Monday. The law students say the plaintiffs had no Ebola symptoms but were quarantined for two to three weeks.

Indiana Maurer School of Law students aid local residents with low income tax filing

WFHB (Bloomington) – Indiana University students from the Maurer School of Law and Kelley School of Business are helping local residents with their taxes. Local taxpayers who have an annual income of less than $54,000 are eligible for help filing state and federal tax returns.

Texas Tech Law students represent indigent clients in rural counties

LUBBOCK AVALANCHE-JOURNAL – Texas Tech School of Law’s Caprock Regional Public Defender Office sends third-year students to try or plea-bargain criminal cases in a dozen or so rural counties. Clients have been ruled indigent, or lacking funds to pay for a private attorney.
