Stanford Law students’ study of women lawyers revealed gender inequities at major law firms

STANFORD LAW SCHOOL – During four months of intensive study, four Stanford Law students found that women lawyers at major law firms work longer hours but bill fewer hours than men, earn lower incomes than men, get less credit for generating business, have less access to mentors and informal networks, and are underrepresented in leadership positions.
