Cleveland-Marshall Law students fight to protect domestic violence victims from local nuisance laws
CLEVELAND PLAIN-DEALER — Three Cleveland-Marshall Law students–Vanessa Hemminger, left, Marissa Pappas and Calla Bonanno–testified before the Euclid City Council committee in an effort to protect domestic violence victims from nuisance laws in Cuyahoga County. The student project was part of a law and public policy course taught by Cleveland-Marshall Law Professor Joseph Mead.

CLEVELAND PLAIN-DEALER — Pretrial Justice Institute released a report that detailed unacceptable levels of pretrial detention in Cuyahoga County. Cleveland-Marshall Law Professor Jonathan Witmer-Rich, one of the authors of the bail task force report, discussed some of the findings of the institute report with the Cuyahoga County’s Criminal Justice Council.
