FORDHAM LAW NEWS — Fordham Law School’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) won Chapter of the Year at the National BLSA Convention held March 3 to March 7. The honor comes on the heels of Fordham Law’s BLSA chapter being named Northeast Regional Chapter of the Year.

University of Idaho Law students assist community with tax preparation

MOSCOW PULLMAN DAILY NEWS — The University of Idaho has assembled a team of IRS-certified student volunteers to provide direct tax filing assistance to those earning less than $57,000 a year. Organizers described the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, or VITA, as a “free H &R Block,” almost completely sponsored by the IRS.

University of Idaho Law partners with local organization to assist community members facing eviction

KTVB 7 — Despite a national eviction moratorium being in place since last fall, over 300 evictions were filed in Ada and Canyon County courts from September to December 2020. And although that moratorium was extended to March 31, eviction court cases continue. In 2021, there have been over 200 eviction hearings in the Treasure Valley.

Indiana University McKinney Law establishes diversity scholarship
