Amy Bronson, Associate Vice President, Advancement Resources & Talent Management, Boston University

A national leader and award-winning pioneer in the field of Talent Management, Amy has spent 25 plus years contributing to the success of fundraising both on the frontline and behind the scenes. She has a remarkable ability to help development professionals make the right career moves and achieve success for their organization’s mission. She has touched the lives of hundreds of professionals and her impact can be seen by the increasing level of professionalism in the advancement industry as well as through the success of the institutions that she’s worked for, which include Harvard Law School, and Boston College. Currently managing talent, finance, and operations for a team of 265, Amy has served in leadership roles and presented at numerous conferences and other professional organizations both locally and nationally.


Stephanie Hope, Nonprofit Recruiting Manager, Talbott Talent

Stephanie Hope brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as the Nonprofit Recruiting Manager at Talbott Talent. With a dynamic background in for profit and nonprofit consulting and recruiting and a passion for connecting talented individuals with meaningful opportunities, Stephanie is a valuable asset to the team. In her previous roles, Stephanie has demonstrated a commitment to making a positive impact on communities through her work with various nonprofit organizations. Her strategic approach to talent acquisition is informed by her deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector. This perspective allows her to tailor hiring solutions that align with Talbott Talent’s mission to transform nonprofits through their people.

Before joining Talbott Talent, in addition to serving as consultant, Stephanie served as an executive director for a 100,000+ member nonprofit organization. Stephanie has held key positions where she successfully led recruitment initiatives, collaborated with diverse teams, and fostered partnerships with community stakeholders. Stephanie blends a results-driven mindset with a genuine passion for making a social impact. Stephanie is dedicated to building bridges between talent and opportunity, and her commitment to excellence is reflected in her track record of identifying and placing top-tier candidates. Kimberly Templeton, Principal, AGB Search, LLC

Kimberly S. Templeton, J.D. has more than has 25 years of experience as an executive search professional in the higher education, nonprofit, and legal sectors; senior advancement leader; and corporate attorney. Ms. Templeton partners with leading public research universities, regional comprehensive universities, private universities, liberal arts colleges, and academic medical centers to identify institutional and senior leaders, including presidents/chancellors, general counsels, vice presidents for research (and economic development), vice presidents for advancement and presidents of institutionally related foundations, vice presidents for health affairs, vice presidents for business and finance, and school and center directors, among others. Ms. Templeton is recognized for her ability to recruit high caliber candidates, superior search execution, client partnerships, and aptitude to identify and communicate a client institution’s unique culture, opportunities and challenges in a compelling manner.

Prior to joining AGB Search, Ms. Templeton served as Vice President and Practice Director for an executive search firm serving mission-oriented institutions and as Director of Business and Candidate Development for a prominent attorney executive search and consulting firm. Previously, Ms. Templeton spent nine years as a senior advancement leader in her role as Director of External Affairs for the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia, one of the Southeast’s top museums. A key member of the management team, she provided leadership and direction for the institution’s development, marketing and communications, and government relations programs.

Ms. Templeton began her career as an attorney with Cahill Gordon & Reindel, a prominent New York based international law firm, where her practice included corporate transactions and commercial litigation. She received her B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College (Phi Beta Kappa) and her J.D. from New York University School of Law. She holds professional certification as a lobbyist from the Association of Government Relations Professionals. An advocate for individuals with Down syndrome, Ms. Templeton has served on the boards of nonprofit disability organizations and is a frequent speaker on inclusive education, including at the White House for the 40th Anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Moderators

Katey Howerton, Associate Dean for Advancement, William & Mary Law School

Dean Howerton joined the Law School Advancement team in 2015 as Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Affairs and later became Senior Assistant Dean. Her portfolio of responsibilities includes: serving as the chief fundraiser for the Law School and the Dean’s strategic partner while leading and managing a comprehensive advancement program, overseeing alumni engagement efforts and directing communications.

A Virginia native, Dean Howerton began her career in institutional advancement at William & Mary during the Campaign for William & Mary (2000-2007). She served as the university’s Student and Alumni Coordinator and later as a Major Gifts Officer before joining the Law School. Carefully stewarding the completion of the For the Bold Campaign (2014-2020) for the Law School, she was named Associate Dean for Advancement in June 2020.


Stephanie Silvestri, Executive Director of Development, Seton Hall University School of Law

Stephanie is the Executive Director of Development at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, NJ. A seasoned advancement professional, Stephanie’s career has included work in fundraising, marketing & communications, volunteer management, development operations, and alumni relations. She began her career in Alumni & Development at Seton Hall Law in 2008 and then honed in on her personal solicitation skills while raising scholarship support for students at Rider University and Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Since her return to Seton Hall in 2016, she has developed and nearly doubled an annual giving program. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Stephanie expanded her credentials with MARCOM, including curating and designing a monthly e-newsletter, story writing, and video production/editing. In her spare time, she enjoys singing in her multi-generational community choir, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her husband wrangling their small children and dogs.
