Reporting to the Provost and serving as the Chief Academic Officer, the Dean will build on a strong legacy and set strategic priorities and vision for the future of Penn Carey Law School. The Dean will harness the talent and creativity and collegiality of the community to continue on its impressive trajectory as one of the nation’s top law schools. The Dean will support and inspire a dynamic and accomplished faculty and advance innovative scholarship to address current legal challenges and plan for the future of law. The Dean will continue to build partnerships and promote interdisciplinary efforts that serve its mission of educating students and serving the community. The School seeks an outstanding scholar and a collegial leader to build on a strong foundation and propel the institution forward. The Dean should be skillful at building strong relationships and value diversity in all forms. The Dean will bring a considerable record of administrative leadership and must possess the ability to compellingly represent the School with a variety of audiences, including alumni and supporters. The Dean must have an uncompromising commitment to academic excellence, impeccable academic judgment, and academic credentials and experience that qualify for appointment as a full professor with tenure in the School.
