Kentucky Law students provide free tax return assistance to low income individuals

UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY COLLEGE OF LAW – Law student volunteers in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program provided free assistance with tax preparations and filings to mostly low income individuals with simple returns.

McGeorge Law helps clients with naturalization applications at ninth annual fair

MCGEORGE SCHOOL OF LAW, UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC – More than 75 McGeorge students, staff, faculty, alumni, and local attorneys provided free legal services to 40 people with naturalization applications at the ninth annual Citizenship Fair. Blake Nordahl, the supervising attorney in the McGeorge Immigration Law Clinic, organized the community service event.

Hofstra Law students volunteer to help young immigrants apply for DACA renewal

NEWSDAY – Thirty Hofstra University law students volunteered at the Salvadoran consulate in Brentwood on Saturday to help young immigrants apply for renewal of their temporary protection from deportation before Thursday’s deadline, as the Trump administration begins to wind down the DACA program.
