UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON LAW CENTER — University of Houston Law Center faculty, students and alumni working through the school’s Immigration Clinic helped convince a federal judge to order an immigration court to review the case of a legal immigrant, ultimately resulting in the immigration court granting relief from deportation.

Arizona State University Law’s post-conviction clinic included in a state task force for wrongful convictions

Rutgers Law international human rights clinic helps free Mexican journalist detained in U.S. in First Amendment case

RUTGERS LAW SCHOOL — Rutgers Law School’s International Human Rights Clinic helped release a Mexican journalist who was being detained in the United States. A U.S. District Court Judge in Texas found the journalist and his son were detained in violation of their First Amendment rights.

University of Virginia Law loan forgiveness program allows students to pursue public service

Large gift to University of Virginia Law to fund scholarships and establish Karsh Center for Law and Democracy

UVA TODAY — Virginia Law alumni Martha and Bruce Karsh, alumni and philanthropists who met at UVA as law students, announced at a celebratory dinner that they will donate $43.9 million to the Law School. The gift is the largest in the school’s history and makes the Karshes the institution’s first $50 million donors.
