UNIVERSITY OF UTAH S.J. QUINNEY COLLEGE OF LAW – Joan O’Brien ‘03, a former Salt Lake Tribune reporter and editor, combined her journalism and legal experience to establish a non-profit, Citizens for Two Voices. The group fundraised and created a legal team that ultimately played a significant role in saving Utah’s largest newspaper.

An additional five men were helped by Jamie Waldon ’15 through his work with the Clemency Resource Center at New York University.

THOMAS SCHOOL OF LAW – Jamie Waldon ’15, a former student in the Federal Commutations Clinic and current attorney with the Clemency Resource Center, successfully represented Robert Sleepers on his petition for commutation of his sentence, a mandatory minimum of 20 years for a minor drug offense.
