UCLA SCHOOL OF LAW — UCLA School of Law Professor Kimberly Clausing has joined the Biden administration as a deputy assistant secretary at the treasury department. Clausing will focus on tax analysis and policy, lead the Office of Tax Analysis and work to further tax policy development.

UC Irvine law professor Keramet Reiter discusses the link between college and reducing recidivism

University of Cincinnati Law dean Verna Williams appointed to anti-corruption task force in city

UC NEWS — Verna Williams, UC College of Law Dean and Nippert Professor of Law, has been appointed by Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley to a new nine-member task force to evaluate the city’s development practices. Cincinnati City Council voted unanimously last year to create the task force, which will independently review development practices.

Fordham Law professor Rebecca Kysar appointed to US Treasury Department post

FORDHAM LAW NEWS — Fordham Law School Professor Rebecca Kysar was sworn in as counselor to the assistant secretary of tax policy in the U.S. Department of the Treasury yesterday. Kysar will handle engagement with multilateral international tax affairs, as well as development and implementation of domestic tax policies in this position.

Women faculty discuss teaching at UMass Law

Overall, 55% of UMass Law students are female, including 59% in this year’s entering class. Nationally, UMass Law is one of only 22 ABA-accredited law schools with a majority female tenured faculty.
