University of Miami Law LGBTQ group expands network and activities

UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI SCHOOL OF LAW — In collaboration with the University of Miami LGBT Student Center, OUTLaw ended the school year with an annual Pride Picnic which took place following the Miami Beach Pride Parade. It also created a network in the greater Miami community and nationally becoming an affiliate of the National LGBT Bar Association.

Study looks at the LSAT and black law student enrollment

INSIDE HIGHER ED — A new study argues that law schools’ use of the LSAT is effectively limiting black enrollment in law schools. The study is by Aaron Taylor, executive director of the AccessLex Center for Legal Education Excellence and a longtime expert on diversity in legal education. The study appears in the Florida International University Law Review.
