Lower California Bar Exam cut score results in higher pass rate for February exam

METROPOLITAN NEWS-ENTERPRISE — The State Bar of California announced yesterday that there was a 37.2 percent passage rate on the February bar exam, under lowered standards ordained by the California Supreme Court last July.

Nevada releases February bar exam results

NEVADA BUSINESS — The results of the February 2021 Nevada bar examination were released have been released. The Nevada State Bar received 253 applications to sit for the February 2021 exam, with 152 applicants receiving a passing score.  The pass rate for this bar examination was 60%.

Five law schools below ABA’s new bar pass standard

ABA JOURNAL — Of the 10 law schools that in 2020 received noncompliance notices for having two-year bar passage rates below 75%, half appear to again have pass rates that do not meet that threshold, according to ABA data released in April.

State Bar of California contract with ExamSoft under scrutiny

ABA JOURNAL — When the State Bar of California selected ExamSoft as the software provider for its October 2020 remote bar exam, the test was administered appropriately, but the bar did not follow a procurement policy for outside vendors, according to a state auditor report.

Ohio Supreme Court announces February bar exam results

THE HIGHLAND COUNTY PRESS — Of the 361 aspiring lawyers who sat for the latest Ohio Bar Examination, 54.3 percent passed the test, the Ohio Supreme Court announced recently. The passing rate was the highest for a February exam since 2016 and was the state’s first full use of the Uniform Bar Exam.
