Many people in our community are wondering what they can do to help the Parkland shooting victims.

Some students at UF's Levin College of Law have come up with a sweet gesture.

They're selling donuts around campus, and making cards to send to the hospitals where victims are being treated.

The students are hoping to raise $1,000

All earnings will be donated to the official Stoneman Douglas Victims' GoFundMe account.

"There's many times where you're proud to be a gator but now, more than ever, students coming together for a cause to help people in our state, it just makes you feel like you're a part of something bigger. It really makes you proud to be a part of the community," said Sheyla Marimon, one of the students working the event.

They are also raffling off gift cards to area restaurants.
