To mangle a phrase, they're going to need a smaller table.

Five of the six announced candidates for the Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor  will square off in a debate this Monday (March 26) on the campus of Widener University Law School in Susquehanna Township.

The 12 p.m. event is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Womens' Forum; the League of Women Voters and the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg.

Candidates John Fetterman, of Allegheny County; Craig E. Lehman, of Lancaster County; Raymond Sosa of Montgomery County; Kathleen Cozzone, of Chester County, and Nina Ahmad, of Philadelphia, are set to attend.

Aryanna Berringer, of Westmoreland County, suspended her candidacy this week. Incumbent Lt. Gov. Mike Stack, whose political travails prompted the pack of challengers, will not attend, organizers said.

Joyce Davis, of the World Affairs Council, and communications director for Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse, will moderate.

A panel of three journalists, including PennLive Opinion Editor John L. Micek, will ask questions.

The debate will be carried by the Pennsylvania Cable Network.
