University of Iowa Interim Provost Sue Curry has named Dan Clay, dean of the College of Education, and Ann Estin, law professor and Aliber Family Chair in Law, to serve as co-chairs of the search committee to replace Gail Agrawal, dean of the College of Law.

Agrawal announced she will step down as dean at the end of the 2017–18 academic year. She previously served as dean of the Kansas University School of Law and joined the UI College of Law in July 2010.

Other members of the search committee include:

Dawn Barker Anderson—professor of legal analysis, as well as writing and research

Peter Damiano—director of the UI Public Policy Center and Health Policy Research Program; professor in the Department of Preventative and Community Dentistry

Jill De Young—assistant dean and chief of staff in the UI College of Law

Maja C. Eaton—member of the Iowa Law School Foundation board of directors

Stella Burch Elias—professor of law

Gabriel Fox—UI law student; Iowa Law’s 2017 Foundation representative

Andy Grewal—law professor and Joseph F. Rosenfield Fellow in Law

Emily Hughes—associate dean for faculty and academic affairs, law professor, and Bouma Fellow in Law

Jason Rantanen—law professor; Ferguson-Carlson Fellow in Law; and director of the Innovation, Business, and Law program

Kim Walker—member of the Iowa Law School Foundation board of directors

Adrien Wing—associate dean for International and Comparative Law Programs and the Bessie Dutton Murray Professor

Joseph Yockey—professor and Michael and Brenda Sandler Faculty Fellow in Corporate Law
