UF law professor to speak on constitutional revision

LAKELAND — In the next lecture in the Florida Lecture Series at Florida Southern College, University of Florida law professor Mary Adkins goes behind the scenes of the 1966-68 revision of the Florida Constitution.

Adkins will discuss the history and impact of the revision, including the moves, gambits and backroom strategy. The lecture comes as a new constitutional revision is underway. Adkins’ lecture, “Making Modern Florida,” begins at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Hollis Room on the FSC campus.
