A final rule published in the Federal Register today changes the lottery for H-1B skilled worker visas to give more of an advantage to graduates of advanced degree programs at U.S. universities. H-1Bs are a popular route for international students who want to stay in the U.S. to work after graduation, but demand for the visas regularly exceeds supply.
