Mary Wood, a University of Oregon law professor, is coming to speak Wednesday at the University of Colorado Law School on policy and litigation surrounding climate urgency.

Wood, the faculty director of her university’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center, is selected as a distinguished lecturer for the Getches-Wilkinson Center and the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, & Environmental Law Review series of discussions on energy and the environment.

Wood will be focusing on the Atmospheric Trust Litigation — a legal theory she originated to hold governments accountable in reducing carbon pollution.

The talk, which is free and public, is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Wolf Law Building’s Wittemyer Courtroom on campus.

CU asks attendees to register at colorado.edu/law/research/gwc/events.
