Jeremiah Pam Named Business and Finance Law Program Director

Jeremiah Pam will serve as the new Director of the Business and Finance Law Program. He will work with faculty, students, and alumni to enhance the curricular offerings in business and finance law, support and collaborate with faculty in the creation of programming and scholarly engagement, advise LLM and JD students, and help create pathways to employment opportunities in related fields.

"I'm pleased to join the impressive community of scholars and educators at GW Law working at the intersection of law and business," Mr. Pam said. "Lawyers and legal training play critical roles in all aspects of business, finance, and economic affairs, nationally and internationally."

Mr. Pam joins GW Law from Columbia University, where he currently serves as a Research Scholar. He has extensive work experience in international affairs and international crises, including six years practicing in international finance and sovereign debt restructuring at Cleary Gottlieb in New York and serving in policy positions with the Treasury Department in Baghdad and the State Department in Kabul. Mr. Pam has lectured frequently on international finance and governance topics and co-taught a course on International Business Transactions at Yale Law School. He also served for four years as a U.S. Air Force officer prior to law school. Mr. Pam received a JD from Columbia University, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MA in Political Science from Columbia, and an AB from Harvard.
