FIU Law Professor Charles C. Jalloh and member of the United Nations International Law Commission has recently been named the Fulbright Lund University Distinguished Chair in Public International Law at the University of Lund, in Sweden, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The Distinguished Chair program is considered the most prestigious appointment in the Fulbright Scholar Program. There are only 40 chairs each year in all academic disciplines combined and only three of them specifically designated in law. Of the three in law, only one is designated for international law. The awards are made to scholars judged by peers to be among the eminent leaders in their field.

Professor Jalloh is a tenured professor at FIU Law, the Founding Director of the African Court Research Initiative (ACRI) and was a FIU Top Scholar for 2015. A member of the International Law Commission, elected by the UN General Assembly in November 2016, he contributes to FIU Law’s Legal Studies Research Paper Series and his works can be followed in SSRN.
