As of 7 pm Eastern, April 21, the Sheraton Denver Downtown will no longer take any new hotel reservations for the AALS Clinical Conference. The hotel is sold out of rooms in the AALS block. If you need to change or cancel an existing reservation, use the booking link you originally used to make your reservation or call the Sheraton directly at (303) 893-3333. If you need to cancel, do so by 6 pm on your arrival date to avoid being charged for one night’s stay.
For new hotel reservations, please check booking sites such as Expedia – Downtown Denver, Booking.com – Downtown Denver, Orbitz – Downtown Denver. If you are able to secure a new reservation at the Sheraton Denver Downtown at a higher rate, AALS will not be able to have the rate lowered to the conference rate for you. AALS contracted for a block of rooms based on past history. The hotel has graciously accepted many more reservations than were contracted but they are unable to offer any additional guest rooms at the conference rate.
To make reservations, attendees should first register for the conference. After completing the meeting registration process, you will receive a confirmation email from AALS with a link to book your hotel reservation. The hotel is smoke-free.
The room rate is $199 for single and double accommodations, subject to established taxes, currently tax in 2017 is 14.75%.
The cut-off date for making a reservation is Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Making a reservation prior to the cut-off date does not guarantee availability of the AALS rate. To ensure accommodations, please make your reservation early.
The hotel requires a one-night’s room rate deposit with one of the following credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB). Deposits will be fully refunded for reservations cancelled by 6 p.m. on the expected arrival date.
Guest room internet is provided to AALS registrants on a complimentary basis. Complimentary internet is also available in the hotel lobby, public areas and meeting rooms for registrants.

It’s a real thing! Please drink enough water when you’re in Denver; your body requires about 25% more water than it normally does, because all your organs are working much harder because of the altitude and less available oxygen) to avoid the headaches and terrible dreams that often accompany altitude sickness. Symptoms include headache, fatigue, stomach illness, dizziness, and sleep disturbance.
