Process from Law School to practice:
After a period of traineeship (2-3) years with a licensed attorney at law, a court of justice or a public prosecutor’s office, respectively, the trainee has to pass an examination organized by the respective professional association (attorneys) or the Ministry of Justice (judges, public prosecutors). Attorneys then get a license; judges and public prosecutors are appointed. A Master’s degree is a prerequisite to being accepted as a trainee.
Basically the same procedure applies for becoming a notary-public (the trainee must have a Master’s degree, traineeship with a notary-public, examinations organized by the professional association of notaries-public).
