Syracuse, N.Y. -- Veterans will be able to get help with everything from tax returns to resumes at Syracuse University's fifth "Valor Day."

The event will be at the College of Law Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Dineen Hall at 950 Irving Ave. in Syracuse.

There will be representatives from 30 different organizations and government groups offering legal, career, financial and psychological counseling services for veterans.

"This event is designed to bridge the gap between those who have or
are serving our nation and the information, resources and contacts often
required to ensure they receive the benefits that are owed to them and
getting any help they need," said Yelena Duterte, director of SU's Veterans Legal Clinic.

The university suggests people make appointments in advance for service by sending an email to VISION@law.syr.edu or calling 1-413-728-2567.

Free parking for the event is available at the Stadium lot or Irving garage.
