When and Where?
The conference will begin on Sunday, June 1 with registration at 5:00 p.m., followed by two days of plenary sessions and small group discussions. The conference will conclude at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3. In addition to the program sessions, a reception sponsored by Nova Southeastern University Law Center and the University of Puerto Rico School of Law will be held on Sunday night, and a reception and dinner will be sponsored by the law firms of Haynes and Boone, L.L.P. (U.S.A.) and Malet Abogados (Barcelona) on Monday night. The luncheon on Monday will be sponsored by Oceana Publications, Inc.
The conference sessions will be held at the University of Barcelona.

Location: Hotel is a 20 minute walk from the University. Public bus service is available directly outside of the hotel and is two stops away from the University. To make a reservation, please send a fax to the Hotel Covadonga at 34 932 095 833, indicating your arrival and departure dates and providing a credit card to guarantee your reservation. Please be sure to reference the AALS to secure the discounted group rate. The hotel will confirm your reservation via fax.

Location: A new youth hostel, located at the Campus Nord (Northern Campus) of the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, in the district of Pedralbes, which is adjacent to the University of Barcelona. Accommodation in fully equipped and furnished rooms with ensuite bathroom and kitchen. All rooms are fitted with a telephone to receive calls and with computer connection. All utilities, water and electricity, change of sheets every three days, daily change of towels, daily cleaning of room (except kitchen), and use of common areas.

Local Transportation
International Airport El Prat is approximately ten miles from the University of Barcelona and is served by major airlines.
Taxi fare to the university is approximately EUR 18 each way. The Aerobus links the airport to Plaza de Espanya and Plaza de Catalunya, the center of town (approximately 40 minutes; every 15 minutes, M-F 6:00 a.m.-midnight and Sa-Su 6:30 a.m.-midnight. EUR 3,16 each way.) RENFE trains provide slightly cheaper transportation to and from the airport (20-25 min.; every 30 min.; 6:13 a.m.-11:15 p.m. from the airport. EUR 2,10 each way.)
