Cleveland State University, Cleveland–Marshall College of Law

Cleveland–Marshall College of Law is the first law school in the country to offer a “convertible” degree option for students who decide not to continue pursuing a JD after their first year of studies. Those students are eligible to graduate with a full Master of Legal Studies degree (MLS) after completing the first year of law school.  The MLS degree is a 30-credit-hour graduate degree that has proven to be a popular option among professionals in other fields who regularly work with law and compliance, such as health care workers, compliance officers, or law enforcement personnel.
