Call for Papers - AALS Section on Disability Law
Disability Discrimination after the ADA Amendments Act of 2008
The goal of the panel is to address issues of disability discrimination after the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (AAA). The AAA expands the definition of disability but does not cover all individuals with functional impairments, address many barriers to employment, or speak to the need for material resources such as health care and transportation. Papers should address either difficulties pertaining to the AAA or disability discrimination that is not addressed by the Act.
Submitted papers may be 5,000-35,000 words and must not be committed for publication or in print prior to the Annual Meeting. Selected authors will have the option of publishing their papers in a special issue of the Utah Law Review. Please send hard copy or electronic submissions by August 31, 2009 to: Ani B. Satz, Chair, AALS Section on Disability Law, Emory University School of Law, 1301 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30322, or asatz@law.emory.edu.
