Iowa State College of Engineering partners with Drake University, University of Iowa and Indiana University to provide opportunities for graduates pursuing law degrees

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University’s College of Engineering announced a new partnership with three renowned law schools to provide opportunities for its graduates who wish to continue their education by pursuing Juris Doctorate degrees. This collaboration with Drake University Law School, University of Iowa College of Law and Indiana University Maurer School of Law, provides scholarships to qualified Iowa State current engineering students or alumni to help reduce the cost of a legal education.

“The goal of this program is to advance our university’s strong commitment to providing meaningful pathways for students who want to advance their academic interests,” said Sarah A. Rajala, dean of the ISU College of Engineering. “One possibility is for engineering graduates to pursue a degree in intellectual property or patent law, so this new agreement makes that option much more attainable.”

The admission qualifications, scholarship amounts and benefits vary between the three law schools.
