Faculty Appointments Register
Enclosed is the second distribution of the fall 1999
Faculty Appointments Register, containing 125 faculty appointment
registrants. Data on all candidates can
also be accessed online by visiting www.aals.org/recruit/
and clicking on the “candidate search” link.
Please note that this database is accessible to recruiters only if the
IP address information form included in Deans Memorandum 99-25, dated July 30,
1999, has been completed and returned to AALS.
If that form has not yet been submitted to AALS, please do so as soon as
possible.
Changes in address or telephone
information from candidates who appeared in the first distribution are noted on
the next page. Please note these
changes have already been made to the online database. Additionally, candidates who have decided to
withdraw from the FAR are also listed on the following page.
The next distribution of the
biographical sketches received in our office by September 10 will be mailed to
you on or before September 24. Forms
received between September 10 and September 24 will be mailed on or before
October 8.
Unless a registrant requests
otherwise, all biographical sketches received after September 24 will be made
available to recruiting teams, together with all other sketches previously
received, at the Faculty Recruitment Conference. This year’s Conference will be held at the Washington
Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., November 4-6, 1999.
