Subject:        Visiting Faculty Register

 

 

       The Association offers full-time teachers at ABA-approved schools the opportunity to be listed in the AALS Visiting Faculty Register.  The register includes faculty members who are interested in considering invitations to visit for all or part of the academic year, but does not include those interested only in summer visiting opportunities.  We recommend that the home and visited schools make the necessary financial and administrative accommodations to ensure that faculty participating in these visits do not suffer any detriment in retirement, health, or other fringe benefits for faculty.

 

       The form for the Visiting Faculty Register is enclosed.  Please distribute copies to faculty members who may be interested or ask them to call the AALS national office for a form.

 

       The register will be distributed in October 1999 and February 2000.  The completed form should be returned to the AALS by October 10 to be included in the October edition.  Forms received after October 10 will be distributed in February.
