The 1999 Faculty Recruitment Conference (FRC) will be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, from Thursday, November 4 through Saturday, November 6, 1999.

Enclosed is a form on which we ask you to designate the person responsible for administering your school's faculty recruitment efforts in Washington, D.C. The AALS will direct all subsequent communications to that "contact person," as well as to the dean. We must receive this information to ensure that you receive all information regarding the Faculty Recruitment Conference.

In a few weeks we will send you a 1999 FRC Timetable with important deadline dates. We will try to adhere as closely as possible to the timetable. We will send the contact person the forms needed to make your school's interviewing suite arrangements on or about July 30.

Please return the enclosed sheet to Mary Judkins in our office by Friday, June 11. If you wish, you may fax this information to her attention. Our fax number is (202) 296-8869.
