Attached you will find floor plans and brief descriptions of the various suites that are available at the three participating hotels, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, Sheraton New Orleans and Westin Canal Place in New Orleans for the AALS Annual Meeting to be held January 6-10, 1999.
To make a suite reservation for the 1999 Annual Meeting, please send the housing form along with a cover letter requesting your first, second and third choices of suite types. (The Annual Meeting registration and housing forms will be sent under separate cover and should be received by you in late October.) Send the housing form as instructed below. (Please note that the Annual Meeting Registration Form is sent to a different location than the Housing Reservation Form.)
Your hotel reservation requires a mandatory deposit by check or credit card. The housing bureau will not make your reservation unless a deposit is provided. The deposit is $200 for a one-bedroom suite and $300 for a two-bedroom suite for all participating hotels. Credit cards will be billed immediately. Official confirmation of your suite and hotel selection will be sent to you from the AALS Housing Bureau. Please note that you must register for the Annual Meeting in order to receive the convention room rate.
Changes and cancellation of your hotel reservation before December 18th can be made once you have received confirmation from the AALS Housing Bureau, by contacting the AALS Housing Bureau by phone (800) 424-5250 or fax (800) 521-6017. After December 18th, changes and cancellations can only be made directly with your assigned hotel.
If you cancel your hotel reservation before December 18th , a full refund of your deposit will be made by check or to the credit card used to make the deposit for your hotel reservation. If you cancel after December 18th but before 6:00 p.m. on the date of arrival, a refund of your deposit less $15.50 will be made by check only (not to the credit card used to make the deposit for your hotel reservation.) No refunds are given if cancellation is received after 6:00 p.m. on the date of arrival. Should you need to cancel your reservation, be sure to obtain a cancellation number from the hotel.
