SUBJECT: Retiring Faculty Register, October 2006 Publication

In response to Memorandum 06-20, dated August 8, 2006, law schools have advised us that the attached list of faculty members have recently retired or will retire before the beginning of the 2007-2008 academic year.

You may recall that, in soliciting the names of the retirees, we stated: “Some faculty members who would be willing to consider invitations from other schools would nevertheless be uncomfortable taking the initiative to make that interest known, so please do not make a retiring faculty member's expressed willingness to consider an offer a prerequisite to sending us the name.” The list thus contains the names of all retirees submitted to us, without regard to their interest in teaching next year.
