Subject: Attached Letter Regarding Law Clerk Hiring Plan from The Honorable Edward R. Becker

 

Attached is a letter from Judge Edward Becker responding to the letter from Judge Dennis Jacobs, Chair of the Judicial Resources Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States, transmitted to you in January. As I indicated in my memorandum transmitting the letter from Judge Jacobs, the AALS continues to support the law clerk hiring plan and urges all law schools to do so as well. The information contained in Judge Becker's letter about the widespread acceptance of the plan, by both judges and law schools, is encouraging. I will continue to transmit information that appears to be relevant regarding the plan, and urge your continued cooperation.
