Attached you will find floor plans and brief descriptions of the various suites that are available at the two participating hotels, the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and the Hilton Washington & Towers in Washington, D.C. for the AALS Annual Meeting to be held January 2-5, 2003.
To reserve a suite for the 2003 Annual Meeting, please mail or fax the housing reservation form (the Annual Meeting registration and housing reservation forms will be sent to you under separate cover in October) as instructed below. Please note that the Annual Meeting Registration Form is sent to a different location than the Housing Reservation Form.
Reservations for suites must be mailed or faxed; reservations for suites will not be accepted by phone or online. All reservations are made through the AALS/WCTC Housing Bureau, not the individual hotels.
Your suite reservation requires a mandatory deposit by check or credit card. The AALS/WCTC Housing Bureau will not make your reservation unless a deposit is provided. The deposit is $280 for a one-bedroom suite or $405 for a two-bedroom suite at either of the hotels. Credit cards will be billed immediately. Official confirmation of your suite and hotel selection will be sent to you from the AALS/WCTC Housing Bureau. Please note that you must register for the Annual Meeting in order to receive the convention room rate.
If your first choice of a suite is no longer available and there is a comparable suite (description and price) available at another hotel, the Housing Bureau will automatically assign it. If a suite type is not available and the next available type is an increase in price per night, the Housing Bureau will call you with available options.
Changes or cancellation of your hotel reservation before December 18th can be made after you have received your confirmation by contacting the Housing Bureau by phone (800) 492-7886 or fax (800) 521-6017. After December 18th, wait until December 26th and then make the change or cancellation directly with your assigned hotel.
If you cancel your hotel reservation before December 18th, a full refund of your deposit will be issued by the AALS/WCTC Housing Bureau to the original method of payment (check or credit card) used to make the deposit for your hotel reservation within 48 hours of cancellation. If you cancel after December 18th but before 6:00 p.m. on the date of arrival, a refund of your deposit less $18 will be issued by the hotel in the form of a check (even if you originally paid the deposit by credit card, the refund will be by check) within 30-90 days of cancellation. No refunds are given if cancellation is received after 6:00 p.m. on the date of arrival. Should you need to cancel your reservation, be sure to obtain a cancellation number from the hotel.
If you have questions about the suite beyond what is provided with the suite diagrams, such as furniture and other amenities, we suggest you contact the specific hotel where the desired suite is located.
