During the past two or three months many of you have informally advised our office of recent correspondence you have received from the Department of Defense claiming that your military recruitment policies are unacceptable to the Department.
To enable us to have the most comprehensive information possible, please do the following: 1) advise us whether you have received such correspondence, and if so, send a copy of the correspondence; 2) advise us how you have responded or plan to respond; and 3) provide a brief description of your policies that have been deemed unacceptable. This information will enhance our ability to advise others who may face similar issues, and help us determine whether there is any additional action the AALS might feasibly take to assist schools.
