| Subject: | Nominations for 2003 AALS President-Elect and Members of the AALS Executive Committee |
The Committee on Nominations for 2003 AALS Officers and Executive Committee members, chaired by Harry J. Haynsworth, William Mitchell College of Law, invites suggestions for candidates for President-Elect of the Association and for two positions on the Executive Committee. The committee will meet in September to recommend candidates for these positions to the House of Representatives at the January 2003 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. Suggestions of persons to be considered and relevant comments should be sent to me at 1201 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Suite 800, Washington, DC 20036-2605. President Dale Whitman has appointed an able, informed, and representative Nominating Committee. This committee would very much appreciate your help and the help of members of your faculty in generating names for its consideration.
The other members of the Committee on Nominations are: Katharine T. Bartlett, Duke University; Robert A. Gorman, Arizona State University; H. Reese Hansen, Brigham Young University; Leo P. Martinez, University of California, Hastings; Nancy B. Rapoport, University of Houston; and Alfred Chueh-Chin Yen, Boston College.
