The 2001 Faculty Recruitment Conference (FRC) will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Thursday, October 18 - Saturday, October 20, 2001. Of special note is the date of the FRC is scheduled earlier than in past years. Enclosed is a form on which we ask you to designate the person responsible for administering your school's faculty recruitment efforts at the FRC. AALS will direct all subsequent communication to that "contact person" as well as to the dean. This information is necessary to ensure that you receive all information regarding the Faculty Recruitment Conference. Also enclosed is the 2001 FRC Timetable with important deadline dates. We will try to adhere as closely as possible to the timetable. We will send the contact person the forms needed to make your school's interviewing suite arrangements on or about July 13, 2001. Please return the enclosed sheet to Wendy S. Shapiro, AALS Meeting Manager, by Monday, April 16, 2001.
