The Committee on Nominations for 2002 AALS Officers and Executive Committee members, chaired by Robert A. Gorman, University of Pennsylvania, invites suggestions for candidates for President-Elect of the Association and for two positions on the Executive Committee. The committee will meet in the fall to recommend candidates for these positions to the House of Representatives at the January 2002 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. Suggestions of persons to be considered and relevant comments should be sent to me at 1201 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Suite 800, Washington, DC 20036-2605. President Mary Kay Kane has appointed an able, informed, and representative Nominating Committee. This committee would very much appreciate your help and the help of members of your faculty in generating names for its consideration. The other members of the Committee on Nominations are: Pat K. Chew, University of Pittsburgh; Antonio Garcia Padilla, University of Puerto Rico; Joan S. Howland, University of Minnesota; Charles Ogletree, Harvard Law School; Edward F. Sherman, Tulane University; and Jonathan D. Varat, University of California at Los Angeles. Thank you for your cooperation.
