Enclosed is the third distribution of the fall 2000 Faculty Appointments Register, containing 58 faculty appointment registrants. Data on all candidates can also be accessed online by visiting www.aals.org/recruit/ and clicking on the "candidate search" link. Please note that this database is accessible to recruiters using the usernames and passwords attached to a memo from Associate Director Jane La Barbera dated August 10, 2000.

Changes in address or telephone information from candidates who appeared in previous distributions are noted on the next page. Additional changes were noted in the Deans' Memo which accompanied the second FAR distribution. Please note that these changes have already been made to the online database.

The next distribution of the biographical sketches received in our office by September 22 will be mailed to you on or before October 6.

Unless a registrant requests otherwise, all biographical sketches received after September 22 will be made available to recruiting teams, together with all other sketches previously received, at the Faculty Recruitment Conference. This year's Conference will be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., from November 2-4, 2000.
