Subject: Conference of International Legal Educators

As most of you know, the AALS is sponsoring a Conference of International Legal Educators next month in Florence. This is a small conference with representatives from about 30 countries outside the United States, and 20 representatives from United States' law schools.

A final list of participants and a copy of the program is attached.

At the Conference we will have a table for distribution of materials regarding individual law school programs that involve significant direct international cooperative efforts. If you have any such materials you would like to have distributed you should ship fifty copies to the attention of Jane La Barbera or Annette Headley to the address below:

Grand Hotel Minerva-Florence
Piazza Santa Maria
Novella 16
Florence, Italy

Web Address: www.dws/hminerva
Telephone Number: 055/28.45.55
Fax Number: 055/26.82.81

The AALS will not ship these materials so you should not send anything to the AALS National Office.

We look forward to providing you a full report on the Conference at its conclusion. We expect to have a bound volume of papers submitted in advance of the Conference available at some time after the Conference ends. These materials will include a description of the legal education system in the countries and regions of the world of representative attending the Conference. Papers of U.S. representatives will describe different features of legal education in the United States and how those features affect international cooperation.
