Call for Scholarly Papers To encourage and recognize excellent legal scholarship and to broaden participation by new law teachers in the Annual Meeting program, the Association is sponsoring its twenty-third annual Call for Scholarly Papers. 4:00 - 5:45 p.m. Winning Paper: Political Cycles of Rulemaking: An Empirical Portrait of the Modern Administrative State Now in its twenty-third year, the AALS Scholarly Papers competition is open to individuals who have been in law teaching five years or less. The winners, who will present and discuss their papers, were chosen by a panel of seven distinguished law scholars. Professor Areen, chair of the selection committee, will invite questions from the audience and lead a discussion of the issues presented by the winning papers. |
