Reparations from the Torts Perspective

Moderator:
Keith Norman Hylton, Boston University

Speakers:

  • David E. Bernstein, George Mason University
  • Richard Delgado, University of Colorado
  • James R. Hackney, Jr., Northeastern University
With the recent filing of a class action complaint seeking an accounting and the disgorgement of profits earned from the slavery of African-Americans, the long-running reparations debate has returned to the forefront of current events. This panel will examine reparations claims (slavery, Holocaust, and others) from a tort law perspective.
