In light of recent events and of a continuous trend toward globalization, it is particularly appropriate to examine the role of religion in both public and private life. Panelists will come at this issue from a variety of personal, cultural, and global perspectives. They will open conversations about difficult topics such as the apparent clash between women's rights and traditional religions, and notions of universalism in religion and international law.
