Intellectual Property Under the Constitution

This year's session will feature presentations by distinguished scholars on multiple facets of the relationship between intellectual property and the United States Constitution. Professor Baker will address first amendment issues. Professor Epps will address issues arising from Congressional use of the commerce clause power in the context of intellectual property legislation. Professor Heald will speak on issues of federalism, separation of powers and preemption. Professor Pollack will consider the requirement "to promote the progress of science and the useful arts" under the intellectual property clause.
