The recent downward trend in Bar Exam pass rates has caused many American law schools to reevaluate their role in helping graduates pass the Bar. Traditionally, law schools left Bar preparation to the graduate. Increasingly, law schools are forming a partnership with their students, helping in various ways with Bar preparation. This program will consider the changing law school role in Bar preparation, both before and after graduation. During this session, a law school dean, a tenured professor, an academic support professional and a Bar preparation professional will discuss whether law schools should take a more active role in their students' bar preparation and if so, what the role should be. The discussion will be highly interactive and will give administrators, faculty, and academic support professionals an opportunity to explore their questions and concerns regarding these issues.
