The Uniform Trust Act: A "Final" Progress Report

Moderator:
Malcolm L. Morris, Northern Illinois University

Speakers:
Ronald Chester, New England School of Law
David M. English, University of Missouri-Columbia
Mary Louise Fellows, University of Minnesota

The final drafting session for the proposed Uniform Trust Act was held November 5-7, 1999, in North Carolina. In addition to Professor English, the Reporter for the Act, Professors Fellows and Chester were involved in the drafting process.
Two purposes of this program are to highlight the coverage of the proposed Act and to explain the principal innovations that it presents. Another is to discuss how the new Act might be used in our teaching. Finally, since the draft produced in North Carolina is still open to some modification, the panelists hope to solicit from the audience any "final" comments and suggestions concerning the Act itself.
