| Ms. Sullivan, an organizational development consultant whose practice focuses on services to libraries and other information services organizations, will discuss the challenges and opportunities law libraries will face at the start of the new century. She will offer her views on how managers can best lead change and build staff commitment during times of significant change. Ms. Sullivan will draw upon her experience as a consultant to a number of libraries, including law libraries, to offer guidance on how to become an effective leader and manager in the law library environment. Specific topics will include: key factors leading to the transformation of libraries; understanding the organizational change process; a model for understanding the human response to change; building staff commitment and developing trust; the leader's role as change agent; and skills and practices for effective leadership of change. |
| Professors Howland and O'Connor will share their ideas on managing organizational change. |
