| The Employee Retirement Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) completely revised the legal framework of the existing private retirement system. While much information about the goals and passage of ERISA is available in literature and legal history, other information is not recorded. Each of the participants on this panel was personally involved in the creation or passage of ERISA. This panel therefore presents a unique opportunity to question the framers of ERISA on their vision of the law, and hear an oral history of the growth and development of this very important legislation. |
